Meet Al, the owner
Takapuna Bar is owned and operated by family man Alistair Davidson.
Having moved to the Shore at age one, Al attended Hauraki and Devonport Primary Schools, Belmont Intermediate School and Takapuna Grammar School. His Dad was a passionate member of the Takapuna Lions, he also owned the local Hammer Hardware in Hauraki Corner for a number of years.
Al is all about sipping on a cold one while catching up with friends and he’s designed Takapuna Bar around this philosophy and created a bar that is the perfect meeting spot to catch up with friends while enjoying a brew.
“It’s the place to be in Takapuna, whether you’re swinging by after a day at the beach or quenching your thirst after a day of shopping or just meeting up with some mates for some banter. We pride ourselves on serving up honest brews at honest, affordable prices.
